UNPLUGGED: THE SENSORY WORKSHOP with JOHNNY SCIFO APRIL 23RD in Chestnut Ridge
Join us for an unplugged afternoon of relaxation and learning about using the senses advantageously in meditation and everyday life. Because so many of us cannot find absolute quiet or have a space that is always conducive to meditation, we will focus on ”life hacks" to use our senses to find calm when environmental stimulation is inevitable. We will explore using our sense of smell as a meditation tool by utilizing essential oils, and how to use sound to turn inward and relax the nervous system and the mind. We will practice with gentle movement, live music, and a variety of meditation techniques, leaving all students with new tools to support their practice.
