MERIDIAN YOGA, PRESSURE POINTS AND ENERGY WORK FOR THE LARGE INTESTINE AND LUNGS with TARA FARLEY

This class is part of a series of classes to help us learn more about the internal organs and how they effect the external body.

We will learn the meridian lines and some yoga poses that correlate with the large intestine and lungs, as well as the emotions that these organs represent. Students will be paired off to practice pressure points and energy work that help these organs function more efficiently.

This class is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the body and how to be a part of their own healing process.

KUNDALINI YOGA AND MEDITATION FOR THE LARGE INTESTINE AND LUNGS with TARA FARLEY

This focus of this class is to let go. The main function of the large intestine and lungs is to rid the body of pollutants and waste. Through our poses we will be helping our bodies and our mind to let go and release. Since the large intestine and lung meridian flows through the arms and chest, we will be doing a lot of upper body movements and breath work. This class is open to anyone who wants to let go, lighten up and breathe.

GENTLE/RESTORATIVE YOGA BY CANDLELIGHT WITH FOCUS ON THE KOSHAS with LISA GOLDSTEIN: Friday, August 19th

The path of yoga is often described as a journey we take within to reveal our true nature. In taking any journey, it is helpful to use a map to guide us. The ancient yogis developed a technique known as the map of the Koshas, or the layers of embodiment. Using this technique during asana practice, we explore these levels gently, and mindfully for a deep, meditative practice. Please join Lisa as she guides us on a very gentle, flowing, restorative practice to let go of stress, tension, and to find deep relaxation and self awareness.

The adrenaline rush of a fast paced yoga practice might work wonders for the muscles, but how often do you slow and create space for stillness?

In this Yin Yoga practice we'll do just that, working with sustained holds in deep poses targeting the hips, hamstrings and low back.

Moving from the superficial layers to the subtle body, we'll melt beneath the muscles to open up the connective tissue and encourage a freer flow of energy (or prana) throughout.

RESTORATIVE YOGA BY CANDLELIGHT with LISA

Beat the winter blues! This candlelight yoga class will focus on the seven energy centers along the spine known as the chakras. Gentle, flowing practice with restorative poses and relaxing pranayama techniques to bring balance, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. All levels welcome, no experience necessary.
