April Class Description: In this class, we will be doing the Kriya for the Heart Center and Getting the Body Out of Distress, both of which are shorter kriyas. The first set works on the heart muscle and the heart center and will put you into a restful state of mind. The second set moves the energy in every part of the body and includes tapping and self-massage. We will end with a Forgiveness Meditation.

The Gentle/Restorative training is open to both teachers who want to expand their knowledge and hone their teaching skills, and students who want to deepen their knowledge of the practice. The training will cover fundamental use of props, aligning and teaching restorative yoga postures and gentle posture sequencing in addition to meditation and pranayama practices, and yoga philosophy. Emphasis will be placed on bringing the asana practice to students who need a slower pace and proper support for the postures. You will learn how to adapt, modify and prop postures using blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, chairs, sandbags, stuff around the house ;0) in order to create an intelligent practice for those students with a range of physical abilities and medical conditions.
